Sammie, thank you for sharing this. So many things you said touched on things I have been wondering about. But before all that, the '95 version of Sabrina is one of my favorite romantic movies. I watched it again this winter, and I love the Larabee outdoor ball/party scenes. I feel so transparent when I watch it. Young me was really not subtle with her vision of ideal love.
I also relate to the subject/object/complete mindfuck that Instagram presents. And the definite increase in online shopping/decision avoidance I do as I spend more time on social media. It's so wild that this place of "online community" is really just a marketplace.
